Question - (15 April 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 15 April 2009)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

so im in love with my best friends ex-girlfriend. the hard part is, me and her are also bestfriends.Lately, ive been hella jealous and annoyed everytime she talks about him or when she tells me stuff that they do because they're not supposed to be together or act that way. i wanna tell her that im going insane just thinking about her because i am. In the past, we tried making things happen between us, but i stopped it because i felt really bad hiding it from my friend. Now months later, they have friends with benefits but she doesnt know that he does hella other shit behind her back. I know she still has feelings for him, but im not sure if she still likes me tho, but yet we messed around few days ago while we were drunk. Im going crazy and i need some helpful advice on what to do. sorry if this didnt make sense.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (15 April 2009):

You sound young. At your assumed age my recommendation is tell her. There are mature and sensible ways to discuss these things but at your age it's unlikely your peers will be either even if you pull it off yourself. Just tell her ASAP, get your heart broken (or not) and move on with your lives. Welcome to the rest of your life.

PS. I've been there, she said no, it sucked, we are still best friends to this day and I moved on long ago.

PSS Perhaps your issue is as much with how she is treated or allows herself to be treated? My advice again, tell her. Better yet ask her. Remember though it's her life, you must be ready to accept her answers.
