I myself believe that sexuality isn't something you choose and that God shouldn't condemn people to hell for just loving someone. I know plenty of people at the Kingdom Hall (Mainly around my age, however) who agree with me, although I'm certain they're not like myself, sexuality-wise, I mean. So keep in mind that she may or may not be straight and may or may not be homophobic just like any other person you'd meet.
As for finding out, just start with small talk. Bring up the RainbowDelegation.org site that stands against prejudice and see her point of view on such things. Or perhaps bring up how you feel about gay rights. There are many casual ways to worm your way through a conversation for information, just give it a shot. :)
If she likes you, well, you should know what to do, haha.
