A male South Africa age 36-40, *ee jong writes:

Hi to all, I am not sure whether I am at the right place. I have this big problem. Me and my gf of 20 months are expecting a baby this days. We got in 2 arguments lately. She chat with her ex behind my back and she knew that I don't like that at all. Now its been 3 days and she don't answer my calls, and today its worse, it seems she turned her phone off. I don't get enough sleep right now.

What worries me to death is what if she is going to give me no access to my child? I don't care whether she is going back to her ex but it's my baby. What must I do? Is it possible to get access to your child as the father? Please, I need plenty of advice and anything you can give me. thank you

You may feel sure that she is carrying your baby but I would still do a paternity test when the child is born. It's a cheap way to avoid a life-changing mistake.

If you're worried in any way that you will not get access to your child, then you must speak to a solicitor. As a father, you are allowed access, but it's important that you get the advice of someone who knows the law.
