He's not a shy guy but he's not very forward with women. We were out with her friends the other day and he offered his hand to me. I was thrown back by this. I'm unsure why but I pretended to take it then gave him a playful punch. It made me feel nervous. I'm worried he thinks I rejected him. How do I fix this?

Im sure he doesn't feel rejected. You were a bit surprised, that's all and he probably noted it on your face. If you feel concerned about what he would think then maybe you can bring it up in a conversation. "Hey, that was a smooth move the other day, totally caught me off guard but maybe we could try it some other time" , that way you are saving your face while creating another opportunity.
