I'm worried because she's easily influenced by those around her

A male Australia age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi People,

I've got a relationship question, I really like this girl that I met about 3 months ago. We get along really well and have a great connection and we have hooked up a few times. I've been reluctant to ask her out properly as she has been living with her ex-boyfriend (due to circumstances outside of her control). She has been telling me that she doesn't love this guy anymore and that she wanted to move out ASAP, which over the past few days she has finally managed to do.

Today when speaking to her, she said to me that she thinks she still loves him because he was being really nice when she was moving out and he was saying all the right things. So she seems somewhat confused at the moment and I don't know what is right thing to do or say to her at the moment? She seems to be easily influenced by all of those around her - so I'm scared that if I give her the chance to clear her head she may make some rash decisions, and if I come on too strong that might push her away as well.

What should I do? Say?!
