I am on the contraceptive implant but i think that i could be pregnant. over the past week or two ive been bloated, constantly feeling ill and continuous heartburn and its hard to describe but my lower tummy feels strange. i got the implant nearly a year ago and since then ive only had 3 small periods, so i cant use my menstural cycle as a guide to if i could be. am i being completely paranoid or is there a real chance?

cd206 agony auntNo method of contraception is 100% effective but the implant is better than most. Take a test. It'll put your mind at rest if nothing else.

How about having this conversation in a local doctor's office or walk in clinic?

If you have such concerns, we people who are not specifically trained in such matters can only offer advice but a Doctor can assess and run tests so a Doc is better to address your immediate concerns.

It could be a number of things. Have you did an engine search of your implant to see what side effects may be and the success rate?

You should still be using condoms to prevent yourself from catching any life altering, life ending STD's.

Please go see a Doctor immediately.

Best Wishes.
