Hi, I'm 16 and I'm pregnant. I'm not trying to scare you but for the 1st 3 months of my pregnacy I kept having my periods so I didn't know I was pregnant either till they stopped. On the 4th month I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive then I went for a scan and found I was going to have a healthy little baby. So just to put your mind at ease, take a pregnancy test just to make sure, and I also advise you to tell your mum, I was scared to confront her with my situation but ever since I did she has been not only my mum but my best friend, she is also going to be my birthing partner because my baby's dad isn't around, and hopefully once you find out, it's up to you what you do, no one can influence your choice whether to keep the baby or have an abortion and no one should judge you either. You had unprotected sex with your boyfriend, that was really stupid. You may be pregnant. Ring your nearest "family planning clinic". You can get the details from here. http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/. They also provide a 24/7 advice line and will keep anything you say in strict confidence if you request them to.
The people at the "family planning clinic" will help and support you and give you the advice you need. Don't be frightened. They will be kind to you, they are used to seeing "silly" little girls like you who are in a rush to prove that they can be an adult.
CONTACT THEM STRAIGHT AWAY. THEY CAN HELP.
I used to work with them, so you'll be OK. You don't say how long it's been since you've had unprotected sex, but you need to move quickly. If it's less than 48 hours after unprotected sex, there may be a pill you can take. Hurry and make an appointment to see them as quickly as you can, they will understand, treat you nice and sort this all out for you. You stupid, stupid, child.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 March 2008): here pet there is no chance that you would know if you were pregnant by using your fingers, unless you were a qualified gyniecologist. it is silly to think that him pulling out before he comes is being safe, it is not just at the end when sperm comes out, that is just when the majority appears. i would highly suggest u taking a test then if you are not pregnant get on the pill or the implant and NEVER have sex with a boy for the first time unprotected. both get checked out for STI's just incase.

 The lump at the top of your vagina is your cervix. Did you use any kind of protection at all? How about the morning-after pill? Even if you get your period, I would advise you to take a pregnancy test to set your mind at ease.
What do you mean when you say that you and your parents have "basically physical arguments"? If anyone in your family is being physically violent towards you, you need to tell someone straight away. Tell a teacher you trust.
You seem far too young to be having sex, but if you and your boyfriend want to continue, please, always use protection!
