Hello, this sounds like a painful problem and embarrassing to tell your parents...but you have to tell them something so you can go to the doctor and stop bleeding. My father is a doctor and he sees all kinds of ailments and so they are nonjudgemental...very much so...and this is considerably more minor than what they are used to so there is no reason to feel ashamed at all. I'm sorry I do not know what ails you but please to go. All the best.

I'm afraid you will have to go and see the doctor as no-one on here is going to be able to diagnose you online.

It might be any of the following

Thread worms

Scabies

A small rectal tear or fissure

Haemorrhoids (piles)

Spots or boils

Genital warts

Something else

None of these have anything to do with your personal hygiene and ALL should be treated by a doctor.

So make an appointment. If your GP is male, you can ask to see a female GP if you prefer.

You can get Anusol cream or Germaloid cream over the counter at a chemist which may help relieve some of the symptoms while you make an appointment. Read the label before you use them (and use either one or the other, not both) This will NOT, however, clear the problem up and is completely the wrong treatment if the problem turns out to be threadworms, scabies or warts.

You really must go to the doctor. Try your best not to be embarrassed - they really hear and see things like this every day.

In the meantime - avoid very hot baths, highly perfumed soaps, synthetic underwear and scratching. Don't share your towels and flannels with anybody.

it sounds like hemorhoids or piles. You might try googling it and seeing if sounds like your symptoms. If so there are witchhazel patches and other ointments and creams available to treat it.

AskLadyJuJu agony auntwe arent doctors so we cant tell you what it is you have but it sure isnt normal ..maybe its just infected/iritated it could be from anything i think you have to overcome your fears and get to a doctor just to be on the safe side. its not good that it bleeds as if u have ur period. if you have very good hygiene go see a doctor to get more info on it! i know its hard to have a stranger look at your anal hole but its worth it! ..goodluck

MelissaRomeo agony auntThrush!

Don't be shy to go to the doctors, thrush is very common in women, if it's internal thrush you'll need to take a tablet wich will clear it away, and you can also get some cream for the external itchiness,i know it can get very itchy but please DO NOT SCRATCH it.
