writes:I know this great girl. I recently have started to like her and i really like her now. She has asked about who my crush is so i hinted it to her. She said she doesn't have one because she has been hurt to much. She said she would consider going out with someone if they asked though. Should I ask her out? If so I want to before Valentines Day.

Then I found out she was on her period and she found out her ex just asked one of her friends out. What do I do now that she's turned me down and she still isn't over her ex?

If you dont ask, you dont get! She may or may not be willing to give it a go with you but unless you speak your mind, you`ll never know.
I know its scary and the possibly of being rejected is always there but, think of the alternative - she might say yes and you could be happy!
Of course, you could leave it and miss out?

 IF she says she would consider going with someone if they asked give it a shot! I can tell that you are nervous and maybe scared of rejection but the worse she can say is no. But you can always remain close with her. Try and ask her out before Valentines day. If she says yes! try and get her something special like chocolate, flowers, poem etc to show that you really like her.
