writes:I've recently started taking the pill. The doctors told me to only start taking it once my next period came and when it did, I started taking the pills. Normally, my periods only last about 5 days so I was expecting the same with this period, if not for it to be shorter. It did last a few days longer bug I didn't think alot of it.So me and my boyfriend decided to have sex today for the first time since I've been taking the pill. I was pretty sure I had finished my period and once we had finished having sex, I had started to bleed again. And it was proper blood like the blood I get during my period.I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem when they started taking the pill or if anyone knows how long this is going to last. I know some of the side effects are spottings of blood but this isn't spotting.Any answers would be very helpful :)

 Sometimes periods are irregular, and when you first start taking the pill is when they will be the most irregular because your body is getting use to it and it will work itself into a routine.
Don't be worried about the blood, it's quite possible you werent finished your period and thought you were. It happens me all the time, I won't get my period for a good ten, eleven hours.. and then all of a sudden, it's back.
Everything sounds perfectly normal. Continue to take the pill, and have safe sex. If your still worried, then talk to your mom or a doctor about it.
