writes:I was with a guy for a year and a half about 2 years ago and i was completely in love with him. He broke up with me and we tried to stay friends. It was very hard for me to be friends with him because i had such strong feelings for him and he made it seem as though we would get back together again. Last year I got together with my best friend and we have been going out for a year. He is amazing and he treats me like a queen. I love him alot but i cheated on him with my ex. Im so confused because im still in love my ex boyfriend but i dont want to lose my best friend. do you think that my feelings for him can go away?

I have to say this from experience it is hard to stay friends with someone you love. Though you feel you would be sad if they were gone, it is the best thing if they are gone. As for your current relationship, if this is serious and its going to last you cant base it on a lie, so you might need to tell him. And do whatever in your power to earn forgiveness cause what you did was wrong. Feelings of love dont go away easily, sometimes never and staying friends with this guy means you could always be sad cause it wont happen again, and you may do some bad things again like you just did.
