A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I am on birthcontrol but it's not the regular one it's called the mini pill, i'm very good with it, i also have kind of irregular periods. Me and my fiance have sex often and without condoms but he never "goes" inside me but i'm not sure if he still pre-cums inside me....i've been feeling light headed and have headaches all day, i also for the past month have been having cramps with no period. My last period was just thick dark brown stuff, but today i've started bleeding but it's not heavy like it should be, it is red though....I've taken 3 pregnancy test and they all came out negative...i just don't know....i'm sooo worried. What should i do?

nailglitter18 agony auntWhether or not you're pregnant, it's important to see your OB-GYN. Missing periods like that, and strange bleeding patterns can be the sign of an infection. If untreated, STDs can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease.

Get yourself checked out - it's better to know for sure than worry!

It's completely normal to be worried, especially at your age, but you should relax. You already know you have irregular periods, so don't take every little thing as a sign you're pregnant. If you are taking your birth control regularly, you should be fine. It ideally is effective in the upper 90's percentage range. If your partner is pulling out to cum, even better. You are improving your odds even more. Pre-cum can sometimes contain some viable sperm that is leftover in the urethra from a previous ejaculation but the odds of both methods failing simultaneously has got to be pretty slim.

I don't think you should worry, it does'nt sound like your pregnant with the bleeding. Even if your boyfriend does'nt cum inside you , he will seep semen inside you, so don't trust him without a condom. If you are worried about getting pregnant you must seek family planing advise, this must be available in your area. You should not be embarraced, all women go through this. Best wishes
