Whats so scary about being noticed? Whats so scary about people talking about you? Explore this about yourself, figure out why this scares you. You need to identify exactly why this is a problem for you.
What if they talk about you, but they are admiring you? Maybe you're saying "he's so cool, I wish I had the guts to do that"? Would that be horrible as well? Wouldn't it be nice if people talked about you in that manner?
You can't be liked by everyone, there's no point in trying for that. There's always going to be some who you don't get along with, and some who you get along with perfectly in life. And it's OK. We do not need to be liked by everyone!
