I am worried that they be will embarassing or whatever, or that they may hear something due to the paper thin walls. I don't know if I like the idea of presenting him to the people I live with and would rather prefer to stay in my room alone.Any ideas on what I could do to make sure none of this happens?

That way you won't hear your flatmates hearing you have sex...Or, do what we did in the old days. Play a radio....the commercials can be kind of interesting while you are having sex.Or, even better, leave the door open while you do it, that should make your flatmates go away...hmmm maybe I should do that at home...our kids come and knock on the door while we are having sex (well, actually we don't have them do it but they seem to have an uncanny knack for knocking when we are having sex, which when I'm performing oral sex on her (or vice versa) and my daughter pounds on the door to ask "mom a question" it interrupts the rhythm and I have to say "mom is busy right now") which might stop if I just leave the door open and they'd stay downstairs possibly.

What are we to do, not make love? I don't think so! You are living with adults, there will be a time when you hear them, don't give it another thought and go for it. As Spiderpig said just relax and enjoy your time, have fun.
