writes: Okay so this is goin to be so confusing. But i live in newfoundland. and the guy im i guess you could say dating is living in ontario. He comes here every summer for a couple of weeks. Our feelings are very strong for each other, we tell each other everything. Recently we have been talkin about sex, I'm 14 and hes 15 the distance is so hard on times but we are getting through it. I dont know if im ready yet or not. But my main concern is what could happen if we did have sex, im scared i could get pregnant (im on birth control) and im scared he will leave me, or it will be awkward. You should not be having sex until you are of age.
Have sex when you feel you are old enough to deal with the concequences; one of these is pregnancy.
If you dont want the risk, dont have sex.

Even if you are already using birth control, there are worse things that can happen than a pregnancy. Such as getting a sexually transmitted disease
that, if caught, could ruin your life.
And if you do have sex with this boy, who you only see for a short time each year, then surely the long absences should ruin everything. Long Distance Relationships are the hardest ones to maintain and often end in heartbreak.
Keep the boy as a friend, but back off the sexual relationship thing. That way you are likely to stay friends longer.
Prior to 18 (for guys) the girls they see are just notches on their belts. They are not relationships to such boys who are just seeking to experiment asap
