If he dumps you because you say no, then he's not worth your time. Don't be pushed into anything you don't want to do.

If your boyfriend dumps you for not being ready to have sex, as sad as it is , he doesn't care for you. You shouldn't give yourself to somebody who wont wait for you. Find the guy who will wait. Don't make a mistake because you like him. Talk to him. Tell him you aren't ready. If he doesn't accept it. Then he's not worth your time.

If he dumps you because you tell him, "No" then that just shows what kind of person that he really is; it also shows that he only likes you for sexual purposes. If he liked you for more than that, then he'd respect the fact that you don't want to. Tell him what you told us: that you don't want things to get out of hand.
Seriously, get a backbone, if you tell him NO and he dumps you he is seriously someone you don't want or need in your life anyway. Don't be so desperate to keep a guy that's a jerk around that you'll do things you don't want to do for fear that he'll dump you.
