He has a girlfriend. Is he not falling for me because he's afraid he'll get hurt?

Question - (3 January 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 3 January 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Well, I like a guy. This guy has a girlfriend. Their relationship is fairly new. I'm almost positive that this guy has feelings for me. He talks to me much more than he does his girlfriend, and we flirt often. Well, I think that the reason he isn't going for me is because he thinks he'll get hurt. Not trying to sound cocky, but I'm more attractive than any girl who has ever had feelings for him, including his current girlfriend. He tells me that he loves talking to me, etc. Do I wait for him and his girlfriend to break up, or do I need to move on? I REALLY LIKE HIM. Like, so much, and I feel like if I wait, he'll be mine eventually...

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (3 January 2010):

You could either take a chance and tell him now, or you'll have to move on. the problem is he already has a girlfriend, and he may just fancy her and not you. If he did fancy you, then maybe he would be with you. Certainly don't wait around though.
