Hey, I'm registered to a dating website.

What is a good opening message to send to a girl your interested in? Any time I send a message, girls seem to read it and either deleted or not reply. It'd be nice to get a reply. What can I do?

malum424 agony auntI have to go with Grimm Reality on comedy. It shows that you don't take yourself to seriously, and let's face it how many guys use super stud, sweet lonely man or some other lame crap along those lines. By being funny you'll stand out more and more easily catch someones eye and stop to read your profile

Okay.... As a male, chatting up a female. Keep it polite and low key.... Do not go straight for the pull!!! You should keep the initial email very light hearted and see if you have anything in common to start with. Perhaps you are contacting the wrong sort of ladies? Keep trying.

GrimmReality agony auntYoung man,

I know your plight. As someone who is on social(but not dating) sites, I have seen some of the worst treatment of females by guys opening lines. They run the gamut from "Whut Up" to "BABY IM GONNA F(@% YOU".

Females on dating sites are at a premium, and I would venture to guess that the ratio of 2 females for every ten males on a site would not be a stretch. That means they have every guy with air in his lungs driving pretty hard to the hoop(no pun intended)

Females on these type of sites get these types of messages ad nauseum, and are loathe to answer.

(will any of the females on this site back me up on this?)

So it may be that you are simply lost in the shuffle of all the PM's that they get.

So try being creative, and courteous. be complimentary but not to the extreme.

Eyes are always a great feature to compliment, as opposed to telling some girl they have nice tits. They have heard that all before, and you will be put in the trash bin of messages quickly. JUST BE YOU!

Although I have seen some real skankery in cyberspace, focus on being yourself. If you notice that some of the ladies that you fancy are talking to "thug types" do yourself a favor and seek out a nice girl. The skanks are not worth your time. I promise you nice women are out there.

If all else fails try comedy. You cant believe how well it works, being that we all like to laugh
