Hi guys,

My best friend has just recently fallen head over heels for this girl who we met at a party a while ago. I was really apprehensive about her, as she was just generally rude (mainly to me, not to him obviously!) when we met her, though I do appreciate that she's changed since. She's been overseas for a few months (they'd only gone a few dates before she left), and while she was gone, I've really become even closer with my best mate (I had a weird breakup with my boyfriend etc. and he has really been looking after me since). He knows how I feel about her, but he's told me that she's sorry for the way she acted previously. Anyway, she comes back tomorrow, and I just know that even though i'm not specifically mad at her, I'm just really jealous!! I don't think I like him like THAT, but still, how can i minimise my jealousy towards her, and be a good supportive friend?

Ta!

mervy agony aunthmmm, i'm thinking that I don't like him more than just friends. I mean, i love him to bits, and I always tell him that, and he says the same, but its not that kind of love. but me being so jealous of her makes me wonder if i do. but at any rate, he thinks the reason i'm not so fond of her is just because she was a bitch to me way back - wouldn't it be a bit crazy to tell him its because i'm worried she's taking him away from me? do you think it might just all settle down after the honeymoon period? thanks for your reply!

Sounds like you like your friend more than just friends? Tell him this if you have not already and tell him that you want him, and asre scared she will take him from you... It will work if your friend is in his 20s
