I was curious if any other girls feel the same way? and, what the guys' take is on this ... ? (do you avoid the situation with a 10ft pole? you don't mind it? perhaps even like it??)

There's nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Any 'mess' doesn't gross me out at all, it's all natural, and as the previous poster pointed out, a bit of prior preparation in terms of putting down towels etc. is all that's required.
My partner is usually too tender down there during the first couple of days (intercourse is uncomfortable for her, so we avoid it), but after that it's time to let the good times roll!
Don't stress about it and have fun :-)

Hi there. From about ovulation (day 14) or half way through your monthly cycle, the oestrogen levels are fairly high, preparing for possible fertilization, so as a result of this you do feel a lot more like sex than at other times of the cycle - prior to ovulation.
It is also possible to feel a lot more horny while you have your periods. You might feel more horny some cycles more than other cycles, this is also perfectly normal.
Each cycle could differ from the one before.
The only thing about making love during your periods, (even without actual intercourse), is that it could get rather messy with all that blood coming out of you. So because of this, get an old bath towel and perhaps fold it in two so it's thicker, and put it under you so you don't get blood on the sheets underneath.
Other than that, if you and your boyfriend don't mind the mess, then here's no real problem is there?
Best wishes.

Yes, completely normal and common. Many women feel their libidos are more active during their periods. Nothing to worry about. Many couples share completely normal sex lives during that week as well.

many women (myself included) find that they are incredably arrosed during their cycle.
This is due to the fact that your hormone levels are incredably high and quite irradic, hence the term PMS,
as this is 'usually' but not always the case; how women tend to get during the period.
Though yes alot also go the other end and instead of getting the 'Pre Menstral Stress' AKA tears, short-temper emotional out-bursts, many instead feel incredably sexual and arrosed.
I dont advice sex during your cycle only as this is sometimes known to cause more discomfort and cramps on later cycles especially if the sex is quite rough.
However yes definatley if you and your partner want to enjoy and stimulate eachother in otherways without penetrative-sex there is nothing wrong nor disgusting about this.
Many women would give anything to feel quite sexual around this time-as appose to their usual emotional and highly-stressed feeling.
Takecare.
