I haven't just yet because, from this 8 months of taking the pill I wasn't prescribed any medicines or antibiotics because, I was in good health now I'm in the edge.My boyfriend is still on vacation and he's not coming until 26th July. I've started taking a new pack of pills for 5-6 days now.I heard it takes 3-4 days or maybe a week or more that you'll be cured from gum disease if you take the antibiotic thats prescribed to you. If thats the case should I keep taking the pills despite the effect? Even though, I'm not having sex of course if I get cured less than a week what percentage will I be protected? or if I stopped at the end of the month and start bleeding then didn't take the next pills that means I need to have back up right. I waited for 3 months till' I know the pill was used to my body because, I worry :/Sorry if this appears a little confusing I just need a bit of detail on this. It'll be great what I didn't questioned will give me more info.!

dont worry i think a fair percent of the women population feel the same about worrying heavily about getting pregnant..usually antibiotics lower the chance rate of it being successful and their fore condoms should be used as a back up plan. but as you are worried call your doctor he will be able to advise you and put your mind at ease over this whole situation xx hope that helps aphex

And if you want to get wild with your BF when you see him use a condom! And finish the antibiotics course as well, or else your gum problems could just be subdued rather than cured and will come back.

It says right in the literature on the pills, to keep taking them as prescribed, but if you take antibiotics that they render the pill ineffective against pregnancy, so you must wear protection if having sex while on the antibiotics, but don't stop taking the pill too, continue as prescribed so it regulates your cycle and then after you start a new pack you should be back to normal pregnancy protection...but get in the habit of asking medical advice from your own doctors.
OK?????????
