writes: Could I be pregnant? Here is what happened:My period is supposed to start either today or tomorrow. I have been taking Femcon birth control pills for a year.Well, boyfriend and I had sex last week. He forgot to bring a condom, but since I am taking pills I figured it wasn't a big deal. So we had sex with no condom and he withdrew before he ejaculated. He then took a shower and afterwards we had sex again, no condom again. We both thought that since he washed himself, that it would be okay to do it again. It's 2:00am on Friday, June 26 and my period was supposed to start yesterday (thursday) or today. Sometimes its a day late. I know there might be a possibility since we didn't use condoms, but what is the possibility exactly?Doesn't birth control and washing himself before doing it again make the possibilities lower? I'm worried but I also don't think I could be pregnant since I am taking those pills.

I'm not a girl, but my gf was really worried about getting pregnant when she first started using the pill and her periods would come much later than expected.
Hopefully it comes soon =)

Hey!
Yes most on the pills are 99 % effective.. but there is still a procent or procent's in the case of the pills here where I live that you can get pregnant.. I know people who have gotten pregnant even when they where on pills(Birth control). It is not impossible.. you know there isn't only one sperm trying to get inside of you! Too many chances, you should not risk that. And even if he washed himself, It does not help! You should be able to trust your birth control, that's why it exists. But you can never be to sure, but then again.. it would not only be your fault because the pills guarantee 99 %!
Good Luck, I sure hope that you weren't pregnant. It would ruin your youth in so many ways.
And the best thing is always to use condoms! But Birth Control is great toooo, the only thing am saying is that there are possibilities and everyone must be aware of that!

There is not a big chance you could be pregnant because the pill is very effective, but there is still a slim possiblility. I would wait for your period to come before you see a doctor because it may just be late if your worrying about it too much. Stress can definatly prolong a period. I thought I was pregnant as my period was a week late and I was totally stressing, but when I went to the doctors and they told me I wasn't pregnant I stopped worrying and my period started the next day.
Hope this helps.

You're probably fine. But there is Plan B that you can just get at any pharmacy. You have to go ask the pharmacist for it. But you only have 72 hours after to take it. There's always a possibility that you could be pregnant, but if you take your pill like you're supposed to, then you're probably fine. The pill is supposed to be 99.9% effective. There's no way that anybody would know if you're actually pregnant unless you take a test.

I went to the gyno two days ago though. The only weird thing she said was white discharge. Wouldn't she be able to tell if I was pregnant. or would it have been too soon to tell?

But what else could it be? I don't know if that plays a role in this but I thought I would add it in case.

I believe pills only have some sort of percantage of not getting you pregnant... just to be safe go to your doctor tomorrow IMMEDIATELY to make sure your not... the sooner you find out the better so you can start planning what your going to do.
