I'm seriously confused about this...?

To me, you only lose your virginity after vaginal intercourse (being penetrated by a penis). Even if the tip enters, you have lost your cherry.
I would consider you a virgin as you have had finger penetration as opposed to penile penetration.

Fingering is fingering. It's not intercourse. If she used a dildo on you, or a large object, I'd say you lost your virginity. Fingering, even if with a man, doesn't "take away" the virginity.
But then again some define virgin as someone who's never been into any type of sexual play. I think the best thing to do is to classify this in easier terms: you never had intercourse. You have been fingered. And leave the definition of virginity or not out of it. Much easier that way.
It's no one else's business but your partner what sexual history you have. So if they ask and want to know just tell them it's private and none of their business. But if you absolutely must say something, I'd go with "yes, Im a virgin", because most define a virgin in the heterosexual ways with intercourse between man and woman. And as long as you haven't had that, in the general idea of what virginity is, then you can say you're a virgin.

Mainly there is two concepts of virginity. One can be applied to women only, and it's related to the hymen. If it's broken, you are no longer a virgin. If it isn't you are a virgin even if you had intercourse.
The other concept is related to having sex (of any kind) with someone else. And is in fact a big grey line. Some people put the line here, others put the line there.
You have to draw you own line. You have to decide when a person stop being a virgin. My own personal opinion is: you stop being a virgin if you had any kind of sexual contact which involves take out your clothes. Which includes oral sex, masturbation (from your partner), intercourse, and such stuff.
