writes:Well I think this boy likes me and I like him too.When ever I get on the bus he laughs at me and jokes around with me, like poking me and that.I see him like every day at school and in the mornings and after school as he gets the same bus as me, he smiles and laughs at me but I don’t know why ! And how do I know if he actually like me ? I cant ask my friends to ask him as I don’t want anyone to know that I like him, and the people that I hang round with don’t really like him at all, but that wont change my mind.The only reason I can think of is that he likes me, and I think I like him to.But I haven’t told him that I like him, I’m too shy and don’t really want anyone to know about thisI want to talk to him in private but I cant as everyone is around and on the bus everyone is there, he only lives like 4 bus stops away from me, and I cant get the chance to speak to him as I don’t seen him outside of school that often. This boy is like 13 and im 16, people say that age matters, but I don’t think it does as long as we like each other, its not like im gonna do anything bad to him, as I ent that type of girl, I really need help on this, as I don’t want anyone to know I like him apart from him, and I want to try and get the chance to speak to him! For those people who are asking....yes i do like him but i am not sure if he likes me, and i dont want anyone to know that i like him and if i get with him i want it to be secretly and make sure no1 finds out, he has a twin brother who i wouldnt like him to find out either as he will tell people :) Can anyone help me please :)

reader, anonymous, writes (4 December 2008): The thing about secrets is that always someone finds out. Why not get off the bus at his stop one day, find some excuse and see if he comes to talk to you?
Boys grow up slower than girls though so it may be that he likes you but not in the way you think. Just a thought.

 Age doesn't matter, but your maturity levels differ vastly. For a 16 year old girl to be interested in a 13 year old boy is arguably borderline appropriate behavior. Even if you feel that you two can speak on a more mature level, he is 13 years old and you can not let your feelings for him ignore this fact.
The fact you want to get with him secretly as well makes it very questionable I feel. Seriously step back from the situation and really look at what you are saying. This boy just became a teenager, three years younger than you, and you want to have a secert fling with him because you think he may like you.
I do not mean to be harsh, but this is one that should really be walked away from.
