A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I Love my wife very much but she does not love me like I love her. She says she may never love me that way again. Should I just walk away? It hurts to love someone who won't love the same.

Sageoldguy1465 agony auntWhen there's a mismatch such as you describe.... then the "relationship" (or, in your case, the marriage) is over.... so the best you can do is cut your losses....

BT/DT,

Good luck...

This is a very sad situation for you to be in and very lonely one. However your letter did not give any details at all.My questions are [1]Did she love you when you got married ? [2] Did some problem happen to change this.Or is she having some health problem that you are not aware of ?.Remember in any relationship there is always one prson who loves more than the other-of course it depends on what degree.Would you consider having an indept chat with her on this matter and suggest going to see a counsellor to talk things out.It would not be a good idea to do anything in haste-explore all options first before you decide on the final action.Kind wishes NORA B.
