It's hard to explain but I just dont seem to care about myself as much when I'm tired in contrast to feeling more self conscious when I have had a full nights rest. Obviously I cant sustain having a poor nights sleep every night as I burn myself out.The same is true if I dont masturbate, usually the day and the day after I masturbate I feel much more subdued and quiet. This is not in regards to self consciousness but just another thing I have noticed.Basically my question is this; firstly, does anyone else feel like this, or am I the only one? Secondly can anyone offer me some scientific grounding in to these two things (I have googled these but found nothing solidly conclusive). I should also clarify I am not low on self esteem and the days I am rested I don't completely collapse in to myself like a shy flan, this is simply something I have noticed and would really appreciate some feedback.Cheers

Lack of sleep can work just like a drug, it can mess about with the normal protective things your brain sets up, and like any drug, it can be extremely dangerous. Lack of sleep can give you a naturally high, but over time is damaging to your body and your mental health. Check out links on torture, it's a favourite method use in the army to keep people destabilised. Your in the UK, the Panorama programme and channel 4 also have run documentaries on this, check it out on the internet using catchup TV.
