writes:Okay so about 4 years ago i was with the guy (number 1) of my dreams and we got together and were intimate but because i was so young i left him but regretted it from the moment i did it. About a year later he got another girlfriend and i used to cry my self to sleep every night, i couldnt get him out of my head. Later down the track i met this other guy (number 2) and we got together i think i just made myself move on though secretly i still loved number 1. Number 2 and i moved in together and we have been together for 3 years. (i forgot to mention number 1 and number 2 are friends they normally see each other every week.) Last weekend number 1 was over at our place with a few other people and we were drinking and hanging out and we kissed and i told him i still loved him and always had and he said he felt the same way. (i hope he meant it) and now im totally confused cos i want to be with him so bad but i dont want to hurt number 2. Please help!!!xxx

reader, anonymous, writes (16 February 2007): I think you have to break up with Number 2. You said you didn't love him. Even if it doesn't work out with Number 1, Number 2 deserves to be with someone who loves him.

reader, anonymous, writes (13 February 2007): I think you should be honest with yourself and decide just who you do want to be with. Tell them and let the other one down gradually. BUT personally i would walk away from the lot and start again, because can turn into a farce, where everyone gets hurt.

I know that it will be hard for you to do man because you dont want to make either person upset, but otherwise it will only get further upsetting for everyone involved as the days and weeks drag on. I dont want you to come back here in 6 months and say that you haven't done anything yet.
