He always replied but in a very polite manner. Even the day I asked him to go out for coffee, which he said yes but it never happened.Soon I will be leaving the lab and I'm devastated that I never had any opportunity with him. I don't knwo what to do. My plan was to email him apologizing if I ever cross the line and letting him know I will soon leave. It's my last resource to see if he says anything. Please please give me any advice. What exactly should I say in my email?? This German guy is driving me crazy...Just a side note, he's 35 and I'm 25. He has a PhD, I only have a BS. Ask him if he would like to actually go out and have coffee. Incase you cross the line, apologize and then tell him your're leaving.
