reader, anonymous, writes (19 June 2011): You may have feelings for him, but as he's your first cousin, it's illegal (in the UK...not sure about the US?!) to have a relationship with him. It's incest, and if the relationship ever was to develop far enough to kids, they could have a lot of defects, which nobody would want!
Both you and he could get into a lot of trouble if you act on these feelings, so it is definitely best to stay away until your feelings fade.
Try making new friends, meeting new people, going on dates. Even take up a new hobby if it takes your mind off him
