I am in love with a beauitful girl. I went on holiday this week and when I came back we had nothing to talk about, so we sat in silence for about an hour. What should I do to sort this problem out?

A reader, anonymous, writes (3 June 2006):

You're in love with a beautiful girl... First thing that came to my mind, is that you fell 'in-love' with her physical attributes. That's not surprising considering today's world.

I believe what you're lacking in your 'relationship' with this girl is substance. So how do you 'get' substance? First, let's see what you're made of, and how she reacts to it. If you want to know her interests, what are you supposed to do? The most basic fundamentals of getting information is asking questions. Need I say more?

To get to know a person better, what do you need to do? Go out with them, and experience the daily activities with them. If you want to see if she likes you back, how do you do that? Just continue to spend more time with her, see if she reacts positively. When you call her out, does she reject you for vague reasons, or does she accept it for another time?
