It has been hard for the both of us, there were times when we'd stop talking for months, but we never really cut ties. I almost broke up with my girlfriend, but I was a coward and didn't want to hurt anyone or want to face the whatever consequence. In that 5 years, i cheated on her with a former co-worker. The relationship lasted for about 2 years before us having a falling out. My problem is that I might go the same road again. I've recently met this woman through a coworker. We've hang out (platonic) several times and I'm happy when I'm with her. I can't remember the last time I was this happy with anyone. I love my current girlfriend. She means a lot to me but I'll be 30 this year and I feel that time is already passing me by. I more than once thought of breaking the relationship up but I don't think I can bear to hurt her. I also don't want to commit a really bad mistake again like I did before.

I think that it's time to date women who are local now. You've only seen your girlfriend 10 times in the past 2 years? Yes, life is passing you by. And it's passing your LDR girlfriend by as well.
Time to bring dating in the the real world, don't you think? Into the day to day, breathing the same air and picking up the dry cleaning for one another?
