I dont want to pressure him into anything though as I am not sure he's ready. But I feel really horny a lot of the time and pleasuring myself isnt working any more.. What do I do? Is this normal?

When I was your age I was also horny and felt ready. I was giving it up to anyone who asked. Stupid of me, right? Got a reputation, my parents had to put up with HUGE embarrassment, and while I am able to accept now that this is who I am, if I could turn back time, I'd have waited.
What I'm trying to say is, even if 17 is legal, but it is also a delicate age to be at. If your mind still says no, it is probably right.

Yes, your body is going to a rise in hormones ( the closer you get to ovulation time the hornier you will feel). It's pretty common, but while it can at times be a little HARD to see clearly though that "horny-haze" remember that there IS NO hurry to have sex.
And that EVERYONE moves at different speeds so while you may FEEL extremely horny, it doesn't mean you are actually READY to have sex.
Never pressure anyone for sex. And never LET anyone pressure you.
Then... there is the practical side... DO you have condoms for such an event?
ARE you ready for the consequences of having sex? Which CAN be pregnancy... Or do you think it might just be wise to wait a while longer?

I won't say normal, (because that word causes problems) but at your age it's pretty common. Sounds like you are making good decisions. Keep it up.
