reader, anonymous, writes (26 October 2006): i'm going through this same thing too. though it's been 2 days not 4. i arrived at the decision we won't communicate unless she contacts me. perhaps i'm too prideful, but i see it as a struggle for control early in a relationship. that doesn't interest me.

When it comes to establishing a relationship one person makes a move and the other person responds if he/she wants. Then if all is well the other person should make a move and wait for a response from the first person. This happens naturally when both parties are interested. I would suggest you hold off for a while until she contacts you, since you have already made 2 moves from your side and she owes you a response if she is interested. It is a bit like a game of chess/ a transaction. Good luck, she might still come around!
