I know how you feel. Im three months pregnant and I took five pregnancy test. The first one I truly belive it was wrong so I bought the digital test. Once they all came back positive I was certain that I had a bladder infection that altered my urine to make it positive. I know thats crazy, but I was in shock. Im married and my husband and I wanted to have a baby but it just never happened so I couldn't believe it.

I also had a hard time getting excited about the positive results because I was worried that something could go wrong. Well I finally relaxed when I saw the baby for the first time and It was proof that something was really in there.

And if you don't "feel like your pregnant" enjoy this time. I complained because I felt fine and then like week later the "morning Sickness" started. I miss those weeks of feeling fine.

Congrats and get ready for the roller coaster of emotions.

i didn't believe i was pregant either - i took 45 tests just to be sure lol. Even when i went for a midwife appointment to hear the heart beat and scan appointment - i still felt they would tell me it was a big misunderstanding and that i was not pregnant at all, maybe it was wishful thinking. I am now five months pregnant and boy, it was no mistake, i am royally up the duff and happier than what i was. I went through a bit of the blues but i'm feeling more positive about the forth coming little one :)

Congrads on the baby :)

EbonyBlossom agony auntWhy are you struggling to believe it? Is it because you always expected it happening to someone else and not you?

Was your intention to conceive or was this something you were trying to avoid?

Not My Name agony auntHome pregnancy tests are far more likely to show up a false negative than a false positive as the positive indicator only colors up when detecting HCG which is normally only present during pregnancy.

Sometimes it wont detect it in early stages because the hormone levels are still too low, but if it has been detected, then I think you better get used to the idea of being pregnant.

C. Grant agony auntStore-bought pregnancy tests are not necessarily as accurate as those ordered by a doctor and performed at a laboratory. Did your doctor order a test? Or is he leaving that to the midwife? If the appointment with the midwife is more than a few days away, you could try another over the counter test -- choose a different brand.
