A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Okay well im 16, and one of my closest friends is 14 going on 15. Iv known her practically all my life and love her to bits.

The problem is, now im starting to like her as more of a friend, i cant get her out of my head, and every time she comes and hugs me i want to keep her in my arms. I really dont want to scare her off, but i really want to be with her.

Do people think i should tell her, and if so how ? As i really dont want to lose our friendship cause it means the world to me.

Also the other problem is, she is under 16 and although i wouldnt do anything to hurt her anyway or have sex with her, i am still a virgin so there is a fair bit of pressure on me. And people assume i am just going out with her for sex, which is intierly not true, as i already said i wouldnt have sex with her until she is over the limit.

But yea, i am really in love with this girl and im so lost for what to do. Any advice would be great cheers.

Jamer70 agony auntwell if you understand the sexual age of consent issues that apply here i think that you should just go for it and tell her, if shes not dating anyone its no problem.

Good luck

kenny agony auntFirst off i think its very grown up of you to say you would wait to she is over the age of consent before you had sex with her, thats the right thing to do.

I assume she does not currently have a boyfriend, in which case i think you should tell her how you feel. Find a good time and just let it out how you feel. It will be daunting at first but once you get going you will be just fine and what you will want to say will come naturally.

Goodluck
