A female United Kingdom age 36-40, *mari Solanthus writes:

I'm 23, single, never been in a relationship, and suddenly feeling very, very broody.

I've never shown any interest in babies before, and in fact gone out of my way to avoid them whenever possible...

Anything I can do to dispell this broodiness, because it's really putting me down, and I have zero chance of ever having one.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (9 July 2008):

It sounds more like your broody-ness stems from being single rather than children. Honestly, try e-harmony. In the past year, I've seen THREE people frustrated about dating end up getting engaged due to finding people on e-harmony. (And they all dated at least 10 people through e-harmony before they found that person so don't be discouraged at first.)

Hi

why not train to work with children...teacher or pedeatric nurse? maybe your broodyfeeling could be of a different nature....however if you have nt been in a relationship you may be feeling a little worried....don't be...enjoy life and never worry about meeting somebody because one day you will..and life will unfold..but for the time been

enjoy been young and single...travel the world?....change career? before you start thinking of changing nappies. Have fun and enjoy been YOU , then have relationshipS and let mother nature take care of the rest. Good luck hope you wear a Smile as this will help you meet men.

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (8 July 2008):

I doubt very much that you have zero chances of having one unless you've had both ovaries chopped out recently - and since this is probably hormonal, I'm guessing you haven't.

Well you can either ride this out and hope these feelings go away... You could go on a boyfriend hunt, and then marry him and get pregnant asap.... or..

have you considered fostering?

Most local councils are desperate for people who would look after kids for short term placements. Think of it as rent a baby.

If you keep feeling this way and nothing else works then perhaps you could consider a sperm donation. Do you have any male friends you might be able to ask?

Good Luck!! xx
