Im dating a guy who is 18 years older than me. Im 17 he is 35. Iv been with him for 2 nearly 3 years now and thinking about coming out in public and letting everyone know because i really dont want to keep it bottled up inside anymore. I really do love him. Umm wat do you guys think of this age gap? , how would you react?. I do know my dad would have a fit and dont know what he would do to him.

I know the age gap is kinda big but not sure wat to do. any advice would be great

I also thought my mum and dad would freak however i sat them down spoke to them and told them i wanted the to met them before they judged. Now we have 2 kids and a marriage that works perfectly after all age is nothing but a number and all women are more mature than men lol. Btw we have been together 4 years now and although we have our up and downs ours is the happiest healthiest relationship i know of good luck. xxx

First of all I would say that you are too young to be dating a 35 year old. I have no problem with age gaps only when one of the partners is as young as you.

At 17, you should be experiencing life with people in your own age group, not with someone who has already been at that stage of life.

My advice would be to re-think your situation.

David Lewis agony auntWell, providing you love each other, public opinion should not matter.

My fiancee is much younger than me, but we are happy.

It was uncomfortable for both of us at first, but it only made us stronger.

I dont see age as a problem in a relationship, it is nothing more than a number to me.
