Richard_EMids agony auntHi - I hope you didn't mind my little joke. I'll give you a few ideas for jobs that excite you - Police Force, Armed Services. Or you could go and do Voluntary Service Overseas etc for a year, somewhere wild and dangerous! That is probably quite good and easy for a teacher.

However, I suspect the problem might not be your career but your love life. You are not meeting potential boyfriends. The answer is to start up a new evening or weekend social life. There's loads out there, just depends what you want. Could be anything. Doesn't have to be academic.

It's January 1st soon. Get your plans sorted out and researched between now and then and launch your new life in 2008!

Good luck

Richard

Richard_EMids agony auntHow good are you at looking after computer discs with sensitive data on them? Might be some vacancies at HMRC!

That's funny because I am in the middle of a career change and am studying to become a primary school teacher!

I work in a pub for the meantime, which if you want to meet people I strongly suggest!

Even if you find a job for the week and do one of 2 evenings or weekends in a pub or club, the job is so much fun, so sociable, great when you get to know regulars and they know your name, and a great confidence boost when you get flirted with...I have had so many offers from guys (from one night flings to dinner invitations) but as I have a boyfriend have turned them all down.
