If your friends don't like it then F*** them, they aren't your friends. My friends jag me but they respect it. Don't be embarassed about this. You have to be true to yourself. The media have a lot to answer to by promoting stick thin models and villifying anyone over a size 8, branding them as as fat. They encourage the public to look down and sneer at anyone who doesnt fit the criteria. Well, the tide appears to be turning, more men and women are comfortable with who they are and the size they are.
You have nothing to be ashamed or embarrased about, remember that.

 i suggest you just flat out tell your friends, if their your real friends they will accept you and your feelings towards big women. if you cant be honest and live your life the way you want you'll never be happy. you cant constantly worry about others thoughts because then you wont be able to do what you want or like or be with who you would want to. Just try telling your closest friend first, then proceed to tell the rest. Its your life, just do what makes you the happiest.
