I'm afraid other people will believe what they are saying. What to do???

They are just jealous, take it as a compliment and then ignore them.

Anyone that believes the group of girls without checking the story are not very wise and therefore are not the type of quality people that are deserving of being your friend. It only matters what you think within yourself. Do not let the group affect your opinion of yourself!

There is absolutely nothing that you can do about what they say behind your back, people will believe whatever they want. You just need to realize that they are actually giving you a compliment. Try your best to ignore them with their filthy looks and whisperings. Hold your head up, smile, and keep walking. Practice will make it easier and easier to do. When they see they aren't affecting you they will eventually tire of this stupidity. People will see you are a class act and see those jerks for the goofs they are.
