Hey,i was in the same boat as you but im 14,i was completely terrified because the bond between my parents and i is terrible,so i turned to my friends they were beyond amazing about it,i went to the school nurse because for some reason i found it easier to talk to her!i did a test and it turned out i was pregnant!my best mate persuaded me to tell my mom and she was with me when i told her,my mam was angry at 1st but then she just came over and hugged my,i kept my baby and my mom helps me look after her,the bond between the 3 of ur became so tight!my advise to you would be do the test talk to sum1 u feel u can trust and i found it great to have my best mate with me so i would advise you talk to them aswel, whether you keep you baby or not is your own decision, also talk to your boyfriend about it to get his opinion on what to do and for support!

i hope my advise has helped you!good luck:]

WeCanDoIt agony auntYou should do a pregnancy test first. If you wanted, and I am sure this is not something most people would want to do, but you could as a teacher or your school nurse for help as well. They are probably experienced in these sorts of things and can giveyou help and advice on what to do. I know our school has load of posters about it. :) Especially as doctors could be harder to aproach, I would rather tell a teacher than a doctor.

About telling your parents, you culd write them a letter, text them, call the etc. However it might be a godd idea too tell them face to face as I am sure they will appricate it.The sooner you tell them the better because they could also help you with making decisions.

Good luck though.

Your parents should know as soon as possible before it's too late, in this age you really need to consider abortion, think about it you are 14 and he is 16! Pregnancy in this age could be dangerous and high risk for you. I think abortion is the best option for you if you are pregnant. Sorry it sounds harsh but let’s be realistic .Good luck

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (24 April 2011):

aunt honesty agony auntOk well you say the condom broke so therefore there is a big chance that you might be pregnant. Why didnt you think to go to the doctor for the morning after pill after it broke? You should have knowing to go and get it to prevent yourself getting pregnant.

However what is done now is done. Is your period quite regular usually? It might just be a case that you are worrying that you are pregnant and that is why your period is late. Before you tell your parents you need to find out for sure first. Make an appointment with your doctor and ask him to do a pregnancy test or else go to the chemist and buy one yourself and do it.

If it comes back positive, yes it will be a shock and you will need support from those closest to you. Yes your parents may be hurt at the start because you are there little girl but they are still your parents dont forget that. There is no easy way to tell them you just need to sit them down in private and tell them and then give them some time to calm down and let it sink in. Goodluck sweetheart.

N91 agony auntMaybe you should find out for certain before you do anything rash.

Also, be aware that what you and your boyfriend is doing is illegal so I don't think your parents would be too happy about that either.

Okay firstly get a pregnancy test to make sure then if you dont want ur parents to know then go to the doctor and get an abortion. The doctor cannot by law tell anyone about it because of doctor/patient confientuallity! Hope this helps!
