Do not use both. The condom is the best method to use because it can protect you from STDS and also prevent you from getting pregnant. The pill has side effects like it can make you fat and make you as sick as a dog not to mention infertile also it doesn't proect you from STDS if you ask me go for the condom. Not the pill.

Unfortunately you have been given incorrect advice below. The pill protects you form the first one you take, PROVIDING you take it on the first day of your period.

BUT...I want to go to a more emotional level with you. I do not know how old you are, but I would urge you to wait and really think about what you are doing.
If you are older than 18 and want to experience sex, then ok go for it, but if you are younger, I want you to think about how you are going to feel after you have sex with this guy? Does he love you and can you trust him? I think it is always wise to wait and experience it with someone who really cares about you....you can never get your virginity back...why just throw it away to just anyone.

It's the best way, double protection. I have to say that your very smart to use this menthod. It's good your not only thinking about protecting against preganacy. STI's, STD's and HIV are the big issue that people think very little of as most of the time you don't know your effected until it's too late to do something about it.
To Anyone Else That Reads This, Currently On The Pill And Is Sexually Active Make Sure You Get Tested For Sexually Transmitted Dieases At Least Every 4 months. Best To Be Safe The Sorry.

Yes of course use every method of contraception you can! The pill is 99% effective and condoms not only act as a contraceptive but also protects you from STD's! Imagine this? You get vaginal warts which quite often have to be removed surgically, would you like that? I think not! Protect yourself from unwanted pregnancy and protect yourself from unwanted diseases! And be sure that you are ready to loose your virginity! Good luck!
