I'm never the one that guys seem to bother with.

They'll occasionally chat to, and have a bit of a flirt. But then I always seem to be left after that for some other girl.

No-one seems to want to make the effort with me to even ask me out.

I'm not a bad flirt, and my friends assure me that i'm not boring or have a bad personality. But can anyone give me any tips to make guys not stop thinking about me, and want to go out with me?

A male reader, Neboraic United Kingdom +, writes (15 December 2007):

im in the same position, i dont even get the bit of flirting. The bad news is there is no secret to getting guys to like you, or girls for that matter.

One thing you should try is talking to guys you dont usually notice, once i made an effort with girls i didnt particularly like and i liked her a lot by the endof the conversation, and i think she liked me. The success rate of this technique isnt great.
