Compare that to your question. There are shy guys, just like there are shy girls, but they may not show it. Consider that possibility...
IF all of a sudden you reveal to them that you like them , they will be like WTF? unless ur considered hot or they would have already gone out with you. You should flirt/talk to him about random stuff and have a good time and get him to be a bit closer to you, but not as totally friends. If you flirt well enough he will start liking you and might make the first move.. go from there

dont worry about not having had a boyfriend yet, whats the rush? shyness is a feminine quaility. Confidence will grow with age and experience. Remember dont rush into anything until you are ready and be yourself not someone else if your naturally shy be shy if your naturally confident be confident and you cant go wrong.

 girl im only 12 and i talk to lads all the time even the lads who i fancy butt that anit the point al ya gotta do is practise the night before or just say do you msn or some thing like that then u get chatting ye or you can just say Hey as you walk by

Well im not a guy, but i thought i would answer anyway. The first thing is that you have to tell yourself your a gorgeous girl. Build up some condfidence by telling yourself this, so much that you feel it. Try not to worry to much about talking to them, there just male and there is hardly any big secret to getting along with them. Just be yourself, and you will realise that was all you had to do in the first place.
