writes: I am 16 and my bf of 4 months is 18. He occasionally goes out and gets drunk. More recently it's become a regular thing, and he'll ring me or i'll ring him, and he'll start being a complete asshole after a while. Am i overreacting to be pissed off with him as he is 18?

reader, anonymous, writes (6 October 2006): I think your reactions are making you look needy to him you need to not be pissed off when he gos out is there lies one of the reasons hes being an arsehole!its not just the booze wheter you want to or not your giving the impression "dont spend anytime with you friends just be with me" and thats not the impression you want to give to your boyfriend of 4 months or he'll run. If the phone calls bother you tell him not to ring when hes out dont tag along and be one of the boys though be his princess who has a life of her own and its fab you could go for a night out or in with your mates you need to have your own time as well!

well firstly do you drink? if the a swer is tes then theres not much you can say, he wont listen or understand. people who drink too much dont consider the feelings of others they are not nice to be around, in my opinion you are too young to be happy with your bf"s drink habbits another thing i think is that when someone is drunk they talk the truth why because they are drunk.young men always use the excuse that they are young so they want to have fun but in my opinion they are just selfishly foolish,
