I had many trips to doctors and specialists as a child and during my teens and no one could ever find the problem. I had a plastic sheet on my bed all through my childhood and had an alarm which never did any good as by the time I woke i'd soaked the bed. My parents got me various nappies and pads to help but I never really stopped wetting.
I am in my 40's now and still wet my bed more often than not.

To be honest with you and I mean this with complete respect! Most situations when people who are older are wetting the bed,it usually signifies some type of trauma, most likely molestation! You have to get to the bottom of the situation! That's not normal for a teen to wet the bed!Usually, when kids that are out of diapers wet the bed, they were molested or traumatized! You're situation,I'm getting the feeling is the exact same!Perhaps, the trauma was so unbearable that you could've blocked it from your memory!Think about your childhood! What happened??

Secondly, your not the only person that has this problem, many people your age and older, also find they can't wake up to use the toilet. You have been brave to come here and share your problem, and hopefully other people with the same problem will read the advice on here. Go to your doctor and explain what is happening, there are several things that you can do to retrain your bladder. They have a machine that can wake you up, or maybe it might be a big sign that something is going wrong. Don't worry, go to your doctor and speak with them, they would be very glad to help you. Remember you have done nothing wrong, this is a medical problem, so book an appointment right away. If your doctor wants to give you an internal exam, please let them, there might be something wrong, only an examination will be able to show them what is wrong.
If you can, please come back and tell us what the doctor said. There are many people who have this problem and are frightened to tell... Blessings, good luck.

Hi there, The best thing that I can suggest, is that you drink your most water early in the day and try to empty your bladder as much as you can before you go to bed. Stop drinking liquid around 4 p.m. each day, that may lessen the water in your body, so that you go to the bathroom in the morning when you get up. Also investigate purchasing something called Coconut Water, it is good for kidney problems, it may help, it won't harm you, it is just that, Coconut Water. Amazon.com sells it on their web site. Take care and good luck. Please let me know if things improve.

I really feel for you. I used to wet the bed till I was about 11 and it really is a horribly embarrassing situation. I don't know what to suggest. For me I just stopped one day and it's never happened since. All I can think of is make yourself go to the loo immediately before you go to bed and dont drink anything for an hour before. I'm guessing theyve tested u for bladder problems n stuff? From my experience I think it may be something deep rooted psychologically but I dont know what. I know you really dont want to do it but cant seem to stop it happening. I'd suggest talking to a counciler about it if you havnt already. I hope you wake up n just stop doing it someday too.
Good luck and best wishes!
