bubbloo24 agony auntHello fellow Manxie :)

As the others have said, you are not over the legal age of having sex with anyone. This is not to say that you can't have a relationship with him, but I would say that it just remains friendship until you hit 16. If he's decent enough and wants to be with you, then he'll wait for you to be at the right age. I suggest you stay friends and nothing more because if it were to go too far, who's to say someone won't find out and tell someone in higher authority that this guy is leading you astray etc.?

If when you are 16, you want to go out with this guy, I'd sersiouly have a sit down with your parents and discuss with them that you would like to date this guy. Just say that you both were thinking about it, not that you're actually in a relationship with him yet. Speaking to your parents about it would make you seem more of a mature adult rather than you being secretive about it and being caught out.

Take care of yourself and I hope that whatever happens, it works out ok for you.

xx

That is a hefty age gap, only because you are so young, there would be a lot of stigma directed towards him if people were to find out.

Probably the main issue though would surround the age of consent which is 16 in the isle of man. Any and all sexual contact he has with you is considered illegal and is considered a very serious offence.

For example,If you have had full sex with him then he is liable (should your parents decide to prosecute) to be jailed for statutory rape.

Even moderate sexual conduct such as groping and oral are considered unlawful sexual acts with a minor and also carry a prison term.
