writes: hi im a 15 year old and first question: all my mates at school hug ppl.basically if they see their boy mates they hug them to say hello.my boy mates hug me sometimes to say hello to me as well but i just dont really like it.i mean i dont mind, but i dont feel as though i want to hug them and i dont enjoy their hugs... i just think nothing of them.but the thing is i really have the urge to hug my crush cos i fancy him. but i just dont feel anything when a boy mate hugs me or i hug a boy mate.i kind of just want them to get off me lol but im not really that bothered.y is this?i mean i am a person that would love to get hugs from someone im going out with. (i just know i would) even though i have never had a boyfriend before cos im waiting for the right one.second question: also when a boy has a crush on a girl does he want to touch her? i mean cos i have a feeling this boy likes me and he always brushes past me, y does he want to touch me and brush past me and stuff??? (by the way i fancy him too) and i want to touch him, i'm just wondering y he wants to touch me and y i want to touch him?

 some people just aren't touchy feely with their friends only with their partners so there is nothing wrong with you just not something that you enjoy doing doesn't make it wrong your just you.
On most occasions people that like someone else drop little hints as to what they are feeling towards them like touching and being playful with them this maybe a sign he likes you but also might just be a friendly flirt with you.

reader, anonymous, writes (22 October 2006): your 15, your getting older now and will start to have feelngs about boys. as for all the hugs from mates to say hello i think youve grown out of that now, just let your friends know you think its a bit childish now and that it doesnt interest you anymore. a normal hello is fine and wont give other boys the wrong impression about you.
As for you second question if you like someone ask him out. theres no harm in trying. so what if he rejects you thats his loss not yours. take things slow andbe careful. dont rush into any thing and dont do anything you dont want to.
