reader, anonymous, writes (10 October 2007): I am now 25 years old. When I was 18 I fell strongly for someone much younger than me in very much the same situation. I found out much later after she dropped me like an old toy that she wanted sex and a fun plaything rather than the sincere relationship and companionhip I would rather. In years since gone by I have been through several relationships of varying age ratios. Bringing me up to just more than a year ago when I met the one I am with now. She means more to me than my own life and I believe whole heartedly that she feels the same for me. I am 25 and she is now 18 but I spent quite a bit more time consulting my heart than my math and I have been happier now than ever before in my life.

my boyfriend just turned 18, and like the other person said "age is just a number"

reader, anonymous, writes (3 December 2006): Well i'm 16 and my boyfriend is 19, if you really love that person and you think that you wil be with that guy forever then i wouldn't really give it much thought. My boyfriend and I were both virgins and we both said that it was surprising that we lost it to eachother because we had always been raised to save it till we were married and before we lost it we had talked about marriage. Here we are 10 months later and still together and still going strong. But like alot of people say, AGE IS JUST A NUMBER. If you strongly care about that person then there should be no worry as long as he cares the same way about you.

well it is illegal, but when your 16 you can have sex with anyone with parent concent but when your 17 u can do whatever you want...but ya kno what do whatever you wanna do...age is just a number. and girls have to find guys 4 years older than them to reach the same maturity level as they are. im almost 18 yrs old and my bf is almost 22.. weve been together since i was 16 and he was 20... so hunnie do whatever you feel is right!~

reader, anonymous, writes (1 December 2006): Your question is this legal if we don't have sex, and the answer is yes.,,,but don't consider having sex with anyone at this young age, you will live to regret it....did you know that having sexual intercourse before the age of 21 you are more at risk for contracting the human papilova virus and have a much greater risk of contracting cervical cancer? If the moral and emotional and risk of pregnancy issues are not enough to make you wait until you are older and more mature, then I hope the fact that you may be risking your health and life will make you pause.

It depends what you mean by "sex".
Any sexual contact with a minor is illegal.
Kissing is questionable but fondling, touching private parts being naked together oral sex etc is all ILLEGAL!!
Your boyfriend could get into serious trouble so please abstain until you are of legal age.
And then when you do go further make sure you use protection please.
