First off you don't TELL your mother you ASK your mother. And if she has any sense she will tell you NO not until you are older. I don't think 14 year olds should be dating period and certainly not an adult.

Physical maturity is not the same as emotional or mental maturity.
This is a bad idea.

Don't listen to Olivia Y, any mum that's alright with their daughter dating a 18yr old has a huge problem and you shouldn't insult 18 year old boys by saying their on the same level as a 14 year old girls. Keep away from him.

My friend has the same problem as you. Girls mature faster than boys so you are at the same maturity level as an 18 yr old boy!
I am 14 aswel and my boyfriend is 17. I just told my mum and she seems fine with it and lets him sleep round whenever he wants and she loves him to bits.
Mums are more understanding than you think. If you are open and honest with her she should be okay with it. She might be a bit worried but its only because she cares for you. You will also get the horrible Don't have sex talk.
Good luck babe :)

I would talk to her and explain and ask what you should do. Just say "Mum, help - i fancy this guy and he is a little older than me - should i see him or not."
